NS64NW 29 centred 61538 48306

A large area of rig and furrow cultivation has been identified from oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMS 2008), to the S of Bethern farmsteading.

The rig and furrow is of the reverse S-curve and covers an area of about 21 hectares over at least five modern rectangular enclosures.

Another area of rig and furrow cultivation is situated immediately to the E (NS64NW 28).
