The 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire, sheet cviii, 1866) depicts a circular horse-engine platform at Orchard steading. It had apparently been removed by 1901, when the 2nd edition of the map (Perthshire, sheet cviii.NE) was published.
