An early village, of eleven structures, including four houses, sheds and a circular corn kiln, lies among cultivation rigs on the NE approach to Cnoc Mor. Apart, on the W, is a longhouse 40ft by 18ft with a room at the upper W interior, a built platform with a central pit in the middle of the building and at the lower E end, a round pit which is connected to the central pit by a channel which runs below the platform. It suggests a mill rather than a smithy.
