This is a battle-shooting range, situated at the E end of the Barry Buddon Military Training Area (NO53SW 56) just to the N of North Hill, and aligned from E to W. The range has 4 lanes with 'tactical' firing points to practice firing from different kinds of cover.
A substantial two-storey control building is situated at the western end, with adjacent preparation and vehicle parking areas.
