A sinuous pit-alignment has been recorded on oblique aerial photograph (RCAHMSAP 1992, 2001) on gently sloping ground about 300m WNW of Newmill Cottages. There are at least 16 pits visible running roughly from ENE to WNW for a distance of some 100m. The cropmarks of further pits are visible in the same area.
