Sub-rectangular enclosure c.17x10m. Walling of turf and peat c.1.5-2m. wide and maximum surviving height c.1m. Long axis aligned E-W. Walling depleted at east, indicating possible entrance. South-west corner shows evidence of timber walling. Evidence of concrete, timber and stone throughout interior. Small adjunct to west c.4x3m. connected to main structure at the north-west. Walling of similar composition c 1m wide with maximum surviving height c.0.3m. Presumed military.

Possibly the site of a light anti-aircraft battery (LAA). The Public Record Office documents show a LAA designated LFA 2 at ND 329 969, armed in 1942 with a single 40mm MkI 'Bofors' gun and manned by 59 Regiment (WO 166/7270).
