This rectilinear stock enclosure, which occupies gently-sloping ground on the NNE of Steel Knowe, measures some 65m from NNE to SSW by 45m transversely within reduced turf walls spread to 2.5m in thickness, on the inside of which there is a turf-stripping halo. Pipe-laying operations have cut a swathe through the middle of the site from WNW to ESE.
