There are at least 212 heather covered cairns measuring from 2m to 8m in diameter and up to 0.8m in height spread out along the better drained ground of the ridge. Fragmentary banks or linear clearance heaps are interspersed around the fringes of the cairns. Towards the centre of the distribution of cairns, on a slight S-facing slope is a patch of closely-spaced shallow furrows within an area of burnt-off heather, which may be cord rig (NJ 0684 4613).

At the centre of the eastern side of the distribution of cairns is a sub-square pit (NJ 0693 4616) about 1.5m across with a slight surrounding bank. Probing indicated a depth of at least 1.5m.

Visited by RCAHMS (DCC) 4 July 1991.
