Pit-enclosure lies within Trailflat roman temporary camp (NY08NW 11).

RCAHMSAP 1989.

The cropmarks of a narrow pit-defined enclosure have been photographed within the Roman Temporary Camp (NY08NW 11) at Trailflat. The enclosure measures at least 50m from WNW to ESE by 15m transversely, and is comparable to other pit-defined cursus monuments recorded by aerial photography. Only the W terminal can be made out with any clarity and this appears to be square-ended. It is plotted as a cursus monument on a distribution map of Neolithic monuments covering southern Scotland (RCAHMS 1997, 115, fig. 110).
