The area of ground between the cottage (1.01{1}), building (1.01{2}), and the foreshore is heavily dissected by storm and outwash deposits accruing from the Allt Glac nan Sgadan. These deposits have been partly refashioned to leave clear a number of small cultivated plots and terraces. There are traces, too, of at least a further two buildings (1.01{4}; 1.01{5}).

Visited by RCAHMS (IMS) 3 June 1991.
