Parish Church (North Church, Sauchen). This building is of Improvement-period rectangular form and was built in 1789 to accommodate the growth of the local population. The four round-headed windows are original and the E wall was built in grey ashlar with cherry-cocking, the remainder of the building being in granite rubble. The plain bellcote has a Mowat bell and the building was neatly extended in 1983 with the addition of a hall.

I Shepherd 1994.
