On the 23 - 24 February 1999 a watching brief was maintained at Hawkhill Quarry, Angus, during excavation and soil removal to a depth of 1.10m, prior to the installation of a radio mast. The mast is in close proximity to the Scheduled Ancient Monument known as Hawkhill Quarry, comprising two ring ditches. During the course of the work no archaeological features, with the exception of a number of possible post holes, were observed.

Information from J C Murray, 18 March 1999.
