On the south-facing slopes of Ben Halistra, just outwith an area enclosed by banks, there are at least four shieling-huts, situated in a shallow basin at the top of a small burn. The huts measure up to 6m in diameter and 0.3m in height and are defined by predominantly turf banks situated on slight mounds.
