(Rapier of Trump's Lisburn class). Rapier with reshaped butt having side notches reworked from original rivet holes; very worn rough and pitted dull brown surfaces, gold where worn; length 34.3cm, width 5.1cm. National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland, Edinburgh (DJ 29).

CB Burgess and S Gerloff 1981.

NMS DJ 29. Rapier blade, 13 3/4" in length, with two notches at base, below which it has a breadth of 2", found in the River Cree, Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, 1895. Purchased 1913.
