This unenclosed settlement is situated on a S-facing slope to the E of Kirkton Barns and has been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1988, 1994, 1996 and 2004). It consists of a scatter of at least seven ring-ditches, crescentic and circular, which indicate the sites of round houses, enclosures and pits, as well as markings of geological origin.

Rig aligned NW and SE, extends across the SE margin of the site.
