The remains of a burnt mound are situated on the S bank of a tributary of the Gabsnout Burn 750m ESE of Mid Gleniron farmhouse. The shape of the mound has been obscured by forestry ploughing, but it measures up to 12m from E to W by 7.7m transversely and at least 1m in height. The plough furrows that cut through the mound reveal that it is packed with burnt stones, but several large stones have also been turned up by the furrows.
