Designed to accomodate visitors to the Iona Community, replacing the Youth Camp, a group of huts built for the workforce who restored the abbey. Named after the community's founder, Lord George MacLeod. Scheme won an international competition organised by RIAS, 1984. Opened August 1988. Cost: £700,000, met by fund-raising campaign. Provides 65 beds, community/dining room, craft room, study areas, and residential staff area.
