Two Yorkshire type bronze socketed axes were found in a burn on the NW side of the Eildon Hills, apparently less than 400 yds S of Dingleton Mains. They are now in the Royal Museum of Scotland (RMS, EQ 273 and EQ 274 respectively).

1377. Socketed axe, smooth surface, light brown, untrimmed, depression on one face; length 92mm, mouth 27 x 28mm, cutting edge 46mm, weight 215 gms. NMAS DQ 273.

1378. Socketed axe, smooth black-brown, untrimmed, blade hammered, asymmetrical body relative to casting seam; length 80mm, mouth 27 x 28mm, cutting edge 58mm, weight 225 gms. NMAS DQ 274.
