This settlement enclosure, which is situated on a low ridge to the NE of Hairy Craig, has been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1989, Dewar 1972). It is roughly circular on plan, measuring about 40m in diameter internally, and there is an entrance on the WSW. The character of the cropmark forming the perimeter suggests that is has formed over a bank rather than a ditch, while the dark marking that it encloses probably indicates that the interior is scooped into a slight slope.
