Pierhead Light (Fixed White) [NAT]
OS 1:2500 map, 1965.
(Burghead 1: location cited as NJ 107 690). At former head of N breakwater: 1960's, replacing light of 1880's. A squat, basically pyramidal concrete tower, chamfered about a third up the seaward face and again at top. Recess on quay side for ladder, and safety chains lopoped around base. Small hexagonal lantern, with one square pane per face and faceted top.
