Situated a few yards E of the ruined stables of Edmonstone House. Entrance is in a curved retaining wall facing N. The floor of the ice pit is cup-shaped and the ceiling is domed, forming a globe-shaped cavity, partly under and partly above ground. A cone-shaped mound of earth is heaped over the chamber.
