Railway station opened in September 1848 as part of the Edinburgh and Northern Raiwlay Company. The station opened from Thornton Junction (NT29NE 4), the line being extended to Dunfermline in December 1849.
Closure effective from 26 September 1949, platforms later removed but the buildings surviving to the 1960s.
