N57 0.5 W5 41.0

NLO: Loch Nevis [name centred NM 76 95].

(Classified as Helicopter: no date of loss cited). Unknown: reported loss of helicopter in 45 metres [depth of water] close to the East shore of Loch Nevis.

(Location of loss cited as N57 0.5 W5 41.0).

I G Whittaker 1998.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative, being derived from the unverified location that is cited by Whittaker. This falls near the E shore of the loch, close to its mouth. The 1997 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map notes no place-name nearby.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 10 March 2008.
