The property is B listed by Historic Scotland. The main contact at the time of a RCAHMS photographic survey (August/September 1998) was a Mr. Leslie Cassie. The structure is early 19th century, and is built on a quadrangular plan, the steading having an open centre at the south. The eastwards and westwards frontage parts differ in treatment. The westwards facing frontage is 2-storied with 3 cart sheds. The eastwards facing storey is a single-storied structure covered over with harling and having no margins. It is also topped off with battlements, with splayed corners corbelled to square. Over the centre archway is a battlemented dovecot. During the early part of September 1998 a RCAHMS photographic survey was carried out, as work to convert the Threshing Barn into 4 houses was due to start on 10 September 1998.
Visited by RCAHMS (MKO), August 1998.
