A cast of a Middle Bronze Age flanged adze, 5 1/8 ins long, found by a Mr Robert Sharp some years before 1928 during drainage operations near the Deil's Dyke (name: NT 717 114; Lin 535) in Kirkconnel parish, possibly from immediately beneath the Dyke (Dr A Semple) is in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS, Accession no:DO 39).
