NS55NE 30 580 556.

NS 581 570. 'U' structure, Dripps: A D-shaped promontory at a bend in Thorntonhall Burn, near the waterfall, features the grass-covered rubble remains of a rectangular building, 15m by 7m, probably an early longhouse. Partial defences are also evident. There may have been a monastic grange here, as the lands were gifted to Paisley Abbey. There has been no archaeological confirmation of this site.
