NS55NE 29 581 570.

NS 581 570. 'U' structure, Kittoch Glen: Occupying the easternmost of three spine-like promontories, this site was formerly bounded by gullies, of which one is now part filled by tipping. A stony bank 5m broad, 13m long, runs across the neck of the promontory, and a ditch 10m long, 2m deep cuts across the tip of the promontory. Between these is a low, boat-shaped building platform, 36m by 10.5m, raised at each end. This was probably the site of a defended timber longhouse or hall, of Dark Age to Early Medieval date, but there has been no archaeological verification. (cf NS65NW 16).
