This bascule bridge is situated at the west end of the upper canal basin (NS47SE 59.00, NS 4519 7354). It straddles the east end of the channel, formerly a lock (NS47SE 59.01, NS 4515 7356), linking this basin with the lower canal basin (NS47SE 113.00, NS 4503 7352).
