Cardross Bridge [NAT]

RCAHMS 1963, visited May 1959.

(Location cited as NS 599 972). Cardross Bridge, built 1774. A three-span rubble bridge with segmental arches and triangular cutwaters. Partly financed by a grant from the Annexed Estates.

This bridge carries the B8034 public road over the River Forth, which here forms the boundary between the parishes of Kippen (to the SE) and Port of Menteith (to the NW).
