This disused limestone quarry is situated immediately W of the A99(T) public road, 100m NE of Langstane. Irregular on plan, the grass- and gorse-grown quarry measures a maximum of 80m from NNE to SSW by 40m transversely, and it has been dug into the SE face of a rocky knoll to a depth of 8m. Vertical rock-faces are exposed on the W, N and S, and the interior is partly waterlogged.
