St. Margaret's Hope, 17th Oct. 'A vessel is reported on shore in Sandy [Sanday], and one in Strona [Stroma], and another it is said to have gone down off Duncan's [Duncansby] Head, with all hands.'

Source: The Marine List, LL, No. 9870, London, Friday October 31 1845.

NMRS, MS/829/72 (no. 8012).

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting her successful recovery.

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 24 April 2007.
