The remains of a horse harness and other remains were recorded here during a detailed archaeological survey of Strathmashie Community Forest near Laggan, Highland. It is thought the remains are connected to the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit camp that was located nearby. Of the horse harness, only small pieces of leather remain. There are also large timbers with nails, which are thought to represent the remains of offices or other camp buildings. The survey was carried out to assess the evidence for past human use and to ascertain whether there was enough archaeology to develop a heritage trail in the forest.
