Rig-and-furrow cultivation has been recorded in an area of scrub, whin and gorse on a gentle NE-facing slope at an altitude of 76m OD.

NMRS, MS/712/24.

A plot of rig-and-furrow is situated in a field of pasture 280m SE of Greenlands steading (NJ81NW 139). The slightly curving rigs, which are aligned roughly N and S, measure about 4m in breadth and are enclosed by grass-grown banks.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, IF), 21 March 1996.
