This farmstead is situated on moorland 420m N of Broomhill and comprises the remains of two buildings set at right-angles to each other and reduced to the lowest courses of their stone walls. The larger building measures 12.9m by 3.6m internally, is divided into two compartments and has an outshot at the SSW and a possible outshot at the NNE end; the smaller building is of one compartment and measures 7.2m by 3.5m internally. To the N of the smaller building there are two circular rick-bases 2.8m in diameter.

Two unroofed buildings, one of which has two compartments, are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Kincardineshire 1868, sheet xii), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
