Four hut-circles and seven small cairns, lying above a track on the lower, E-facing slope of Creag Phitiulais above the Milton Burn, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Craig Pityoulish and Craiggowrie.

The northernmost hut-circle measures 9.5m in diameter with a low, 1m wide turf bank standing up to 0.2m in height. A second hut-circle, measuring 10m in diameter with a 1m wide turf bank standing up to 0.5m in height, lies about 50m to the SSE. A further two possible hut-circles are situated about 100m and 120m to the S. Each structure measures about 8m in diameter with a 1m wide turf bank. That to the S stands up to 0.5m in height whilst the other is only 0.2m high. A number of small cairns, ranging in size from 3m to 5m in diameter and standing up to 0.5m in height, lie between the two sets of hut-circles. A single small cairn was noted to the S of the group.
