A top stone of a rotary quern was ploughed up in March 1983 and donated to Angus District Museums. The irregularly shaped stone measures 0.39 x 0.24 x 0.18m high. On the top surface a 110mm diameter feed-hole accompanies a 35mm diameter handle socket. The lower surface has a narrow, flat grinding surface surrounding an irregular concave hollow.

J Sherriff 1983.
