Three buildings forming the settlement of Lagganlia are depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1873, sheet lxxxviii), the name is noted in the OS Name Book as being' applied to several dwellings situated to the north of Blackmill, the houses are one storey high partly thatched and partly slated the whole are in fair repair' (ONB 1869). The sole remaining house is shown but not annotated on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).
