Built into the modern front of The Bruce Arms are the following stones:- 1. A pediment whose inscription includes 1(ACOBUS) R(EX) 6.
2. A panel with the initials B.W. and the date 1607.
3. A panel with the initials M.S. and the arms of either Strachan or Strathallan.
