Situated on a terrace on the E bank of the Allt Menach, at the foot of Milton Knowe and immediately E of the ruinous buildings of the mill of Moulinnarie, there are two L-plan buildings reduced to their stone wall-footings.

The principal range of that on the W is of two compartments and measures 15.3m from WNW to ESE by 7.3m transversely overall; the subsidiary range is on the N side of the building at the W end and measures 9m from N to S by 5.6m transversely overall.

The principal range of that on the E is also of two compartments and measures 15m from E to W by 6.8m transversely overall; the subsidiary range is on the S side of the building at the W end and measures 10m from NNE to SSW by 6m transversely overall, whilst on the N side there is a rectangular yard measuring 16m from E to W by 11.7m transversely internally.

Immediately to the S of the larger building there is a square platform up to 0.4m high and measuring 4.8m across, and a possible building which has been set across the contour and measures 8.3m from NE to SW by 4.2m transversely over stone wall-footings.
