(NO 1299 1846) A church built in 1684 stood a few yards west of the present church until 1787, when it was demolished as being no longer large enough.

A church in Bridge of Earn was first erected in 1684 following the demolition of the old parish church at Dunbarney (NO11NW 16); it was demolished to make way for the present building in 1787.
