This farmstead comprises three buildings and a roughly rectangular enclosure; the buildings are all reduced to their stone wall-footings and are set parallel to the contour with drainage gullies on their uphill sides.
The largest is of a single compartment measuring 15.3m from NNW to SSE by 5.5m transversely overall and has an outshot at its SSE end. The enclosure lies immediately downslope to the S, its long axis across the contour, and measures 30m from NE to SW by 17m transversely within a bank 1.5m thick and up to 0.4m high; its lower end is adjoined by the second building which is of a single compartment measuring 10.2m from NW to SE by 5m transversely overall.
The third building lies to the NW of the enclosure, about halfway down its length, and measures 12.2m from NNW to SSE by 4.5m transversely overall; it is of two compartments, that on the SSE containing a lateral drain. The remains may be associated with the farmstead of 'Rinnaconer' which is depicted on Stobies map (1783).
