Parallel linear cropmarks located on gently sloping ground above and to the W of the River Tay, and recorded on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1984, 2003), mark ditches spaced about 20m apart and extending over about 110m from the NNW to SSE. A line of three trees is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet LXXXV) to the SSE of the cropmarks on about the same alignment and this might suggest that they represent the remains of field boundaries.
