Larger weight is of schist measuring 78mm in diameter with a central perforation of 13mm diameter. It is 18mm thick and slightly damaged. The smalled weight is flat, 41mm diameter with a 6mm perforation and 6 to 10mm thick. The larger weight is probably a loom weight while the smaller may be a spindle whorl. They were found during the re-excavation of a pond at the Forest Hills Hotel. They are still in the possession of the finder, Mr J Kerr, 6 Queens Crescent, Aberfoyle.
