About 120m NNE of Kilmory Lodge, at the end of a rocky ridge on the E side of the road from the Lodge to the pier, there is an empty cist aligned N and S and measuring 0.85m by 0.6m and 0.4m in depth internally; the capstone lies dislodged on the E side. A spread of stones surrounding the cist suggests that it may originally have been covered by a cairn about 7m in diameter.

In 1955, when the site was first reported (Cregeen 1955), a second cist of similar type, situated by the side of a burn about 800m N of the Lodge, was also recorded; a search on the date of visit, however, failed to locate it.

RCAHMS 1984, visited June 1974.
