A small stone has been erected on the crest of a low bank immediately E of an old trackway, which traverses the E and N flanks of the Hill of Ulbster and links the farmsteads of Mains of Ulbster (ND34SW 258) and Burn of Whiteleen (ND34SW 292). The stone measures 0.5m from E to W by 0.2m transversely at ground-level and it stands to a height of 0.7m.
