(Location cited as NK 056 586). Savoch, windmill stump. Late 18th century. A slightly tapering circular-section rubble mill, with iron rim and wooden carriage for the sails. The remains of the gear drive to the drainage pump also survive.

NK 0562 5859 A watching brief was undertaken on 28 September 2007 during the removal of dumped silt alongside

the late 18th-century tower of the wind-powered water-pumping mill. A number of new structural features were revealed and recorded. Several pieces of the mill machinery were retrieved, recorded and placed in the mill for safekeeping.
