Not to be confused with Stuartfield Mill (NJ 9729 4565), for which see NJ94NE 47.

(Location cited as NJ 974 463). Waulk Mill, Quartalehouse, founded 1783. A 2-storey rubble building, with a contemporary single-storey wing and a later rubble extension. Now gutted, though the internal all-iron overshot wheel, 3ft (0.91m) wide by 15ft (4.57m) diameter, is still in position and the mill dam is in good condition. The mill was operated in conjunction with Mill of Aden (NJ 9838 4696), for which see NJ94NE 98.

J R Hume 1977.

The mill dam is at NJ 974 463.
