A building was recorded at this site during an archaeological desktop survey for the Resolis Water Mains Renewal Project. It is marked as a roofed building and as a smithy on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps of 1880 and 1907. It is not named on the 1992 OS map or the latest edition, and only a mound can be seen on aerial photography (1946 to 1973).
