(Location cited as NJ 5937 0318). An oval stone-walled enclosure has been recorded in an area of rough grazing at an altitude of 280m OD on the summit of Stot Hill, where it is threatened by forestry. The main wall is relatively complete, measures about 3.5m in thickness, encloses an area measuring 60m long by about 40m broad and has been adapted to form an animal enclosure of comparatively recent date. There is a possible outer wall. (GRC/AAS air and ground photographic imagery summarised).

Visited by GRC/AAS (IBM Ralston and J Bone), May 1978.

NMRS, MS/712/19.
