Archaeological material from Strathdon, presented to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS), in the 19th century includes:

1892 - A grooved greenstone hammer, formerly in the collection of John Rae, Aberdeen of which the Museum had had a cast;

1860s- Barbed and tanged and leaf-shaped flint arrowheads and a flint flake presented by A Jervise, Alexander C Anderson and Sir Charles Forbes;

1863 - A small stone ball presented by Alexander Walker;

1863 - A stone cup or lamp with a handle presented by Mr Riach.

1863 - A spindle whorl presented by Alexander G Anderson.
